Students with Disability Leadership Collective

The Students with Disability Leadership Collective brings together students with disability representative leaders, together with student and staff advocates from across the Australian higher education sector. As an informal network, we meet 4 times a year (via Zoom) to share practices, exchange ideas, offer support, and learn together to advance our shared goal of more inclusive and equitable higher education that serves the needs and recognises the strengths of people with disabilities.

Disability representative leaders do not need to belong to an SVA member institution to join this network, so please get in touch to express your interest in engaging.

Students with Disability Leadership Collective | Shape the Future

Wed 19 Jun 2024 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM AEST on Zoom

We are proud to announce the re-launch of the Students with Disability Leadership Collective, the first network of its kind in the Australian higher education sector committed to cultivating an inclusive and equitable environment for students with disabilities. This collective is focused on creating a national presence and offering support for student leaders championing the interests of students with disabilities. Supported by Student Voice Australasia and the National Disabled Students' Association in New Zealand (see NDSA presentation at the 2023 SVA Symposium), we invite students to engage in discussions about establishing this crucial student network and to consider volunteering as founding members.
